Lastolite Creative Collaps 120x150cm Diamonds/City Lights

Lastolite Creative Collaps 120x150cm Diamonds/City Lights | A defined backdrop for tighter frames

Your subject gets a clear, contained background rather than a wide stretch of empty space. The Lastolite Creative Collaps measures 120 x 150 cm, making it a practical size to consider for portraits, head-and-shoulders photos and smaller product scenes. It’s a collapsible background, so it suits photographers who want a dedicated backdrop without setting up a full-size background area. The supplier lists its colour as black; Diamonds/City Lights is the design name. That gives you a specific option to look for when a plain-looking scene needs a more considered backdrop choice. Keep the frame fairly close and the background can have a defined role in the composition. For wider scenes, you’ll need to take the stated dimensions into account.

Black backgrounds can help a subject read clearly against the scene, especially when you’re choosing the light and framing with that contrast in mind. The effect depends on your subject and lighting, so it’s worth treating the backdrop as part of the image rather than expecting it to do the work on its own. The name Diamonds/City Lights points to a more particular visual direction than a plain black option, but the colour remains the reliable detail supplied for this product. If you’re comparing backgrounds, start with the 120 x 150 cm size and ask whether it fits the framing you actually make. It’s a straightforward way to narrow the choice: useful when you need a compact background area, less suited to a composition that depends on covering a much larger space. For portraits or carefully framed tabletop work, that can be exactly the scale you want.
