Meike EFTR 0.71X Speedbooster Lens Mount Adapter (Canon RF Mount)
Meike EFTR 0.71X Speedbooster Lens Mount Adapter (Canon RF Mount) | Wider framing for an RF-mount setup
The defining choice is the 0.71x speedbooster reduction: Meike names a specific reduction factor rather than presenting this simply as a mount adapter. It’s intended for photographers who want to adapt a lens setup to a camera with a Canon RF mount and want the framing change associated with a speedbooster. That can be useful when photographing interiors, architecture or groups, where a wider view can help you fit more into the composition. The adapter is also worth considering if you’re building around an existing lens and want an option marked for RF-mount cameras. Its title identifies it as EFTR, but I’d avoid assuming compatibility beyond the mount information provided here. The key reason to look at this model is its combination of a 0.71x designation and a Canon RF camera mount.
Specialist Note
Photographers framing interiors, buildings or a group in a confined space are the people I’d point towards this Meike. The 0.71x designation is its main appeal: a speedbooster reduction can give you wider framing from an adapted lens, which may help when you can’t simply move farther back. The Canon RF mount tells you the camera-side format it’s made for, so that’s the detail to match to your setup. I’d consider it when that wider view is the goal; it’s a specific adapter, not a general-purpose accessory. The exact lens pairing matters, so don’t assume every lens will suit it.
