Metabones Leica M - Canon EOS R Mount T

Metabones Leica M - Canon EOS R Mount T | Connect Leica M lenses to EOS R cameras

Metabones Leica M - Canon EOS R Mount T is a converter for using Leica M mount lenses on Canon EOS R mount cameras. It’s made for photographers who already own Leica M lenses and want to use them with a Canon EOS R camera. The appeal is simple: it connects those two mount types, giving an existing lens a place in a different camera setup. This is a focused accessory, rather than a general-purpose converter. If your lens and camera match the mounts named in the product, it’s the specific link you’re looking for. The honest point is that the name tells you the mount pairing, not how the lens will behave in every shooting situation. Think of it as a practical way to bring a Leica M lens into an EOS R kit.

A mount pairing with a clear purpose

This converter makes sense when the lens you want to use has a Leica M mount and the camera you want to attach it to has a Canon EOS R mount. Its role is to bridge that particular connection; it isn’t a lens or a camera body. That makes the choice fairly straightforward: the two mount names are the key details to match to your setup. If those are the mounts you’re working with, the product title describes the intended pairing clearly. For photographers building around lenses they already own, that can be a useful way to keep a familiar lens in use with an EOS R camera. There’s no need to read more into the name than that. It identifies a Leica M-to-Canon EOS R converter, and that is its defining purpose.
