MID49 M49-CBL-Son-EVF3EVF/LCD Extension Cable - 36 In Sony Burano FX9 FX6
MID49 M49-CBL-Son-EVF3EVF/LCD Extension Cable - 36 In | Add reach to your Sony EVF/LCD setup
An EVF or LCD can be awkward to position when its cable keeps the display too close to the camera. The MID49 M49-CBL-Son-EVF3EVF/LCD Extension Cable is made to give that connection more reach, helping you arrange a tripod-based rig around the way you need to work. It’s intended for use with the Sony Burano, FX9 and FX6, so it’s a focused accessory for crews working with those camera systems. Use it when the camera position is set but you need more freedom to place the viewfinder or LCD where it’s comfortable to see. The purpose is simple: give your display setup some room without changing the camera position. It’s a small piece of rigging, but it can make a constrained layout easier to manage.
It’s worth planning the cable path as you build the rig: decide where the camera and display need to sit, then route the connection so it can follow that arrangement. This is especially useful when a tripod position is fixed and moving the camera simply to improve screen placement would disrupt your framing. Keep the layout in mind when choosing where to place each part of the setup.
Specialist Note
For a 36-inch cable run on a tripod setup, I’d first place the camera and display where you want them, then see whether the cable gives you the reach the layout calls for. The EVF3EVF/LCD designation makes this a specific accessory for that display connection, rather than a general-purpose cable. It suits operators using a Sony Burano, FX9 or FX6 who need to position an EVF or LCD separately from the camera—for example, to keep the display accessible at a fixed tripod position. One practical limit is the cable’s 36-inch length, so plan the route before settling the rig.
