The Laowa Nanomorph series offers compact anamorphic lenses designed specifically for Super35 sensors. Each lens is remarkably lightweight, weighing less than 390 grams, making them ideal for a variety of filming applications. The lenses feature a consistent 1.5x anamorphic squeeze, which enhances their anamorphic characteristics without introducing the typical distortion seen in other similar options. Additionally, their short minimum focus distance allows for creative composition.
Focusing on the 27mm T2.8 model, it boasts a focal length of 27mm with an aperture range from T2.8 to T16. Comprising 13 aperture blades, this lens produces a shallow depth of field alongside a pleasingly soft bokeh effect. With a minimum focusing distance of just 43cm and a field of view of 70.8 degrees, this lens is both versatile and practical. Its compact weight of only 313 grams adds to its portability.
