Nedis Lightning Adapter | Apple Lightning | 3.5mm Female

Nedis Lightning Adapter - 15 cm cable with a headphone socket

Nedis Lightning Adapter is a 15 cm audio lead with an Apple Lightning plug and a female 3.5 mm socket. It's for Apple device owners who still use wired headphones or earphones with that connection and want to use them with an iPhone, iPad or iPod that has a Lightning port. The idea is straightforward: keep using a familiar wired pair with a compatible Apple device. Use it to listen to music from an iPhone through wired headphones, hear a video on an iPad with earphones, or connect headphones to an iPod for personal listening. In each case, the adapter connects the Apple device to headphones with a matching audio plug. It doesn't make headphones wireless or change their connection; its job is to provide a wired link between the two. Nedis lists this adapter as MFi-licensed and says it uses an Apple-certified chipset. That gives buyers a clear compatibility detail to look for when choosing an adapter for Apple equipment. The short lead keeps the connection compact, while still placing the headphone socket at the end of a cable rather than directly against the device. It's a small accessory with one specific purpose: bringing wired headphones back into use with a Lightning-equipped Apple device.

What it does

• Apple Lightning connection: The plug connects at the Lightning port on a compatible Apple device. It provides the input side of the adapter, so audio from the device can reach a pair of wired headphones through the other end.
• Female headphone socket: The socket accepts headphones or earphones with a 3.5 mm audio plug. This is the key detail for anyone keeping a wired pair and needing a connection to an Apple device with a Lightning port.
• Compatibility across Apple devices: Nedis specifies use with iPhone, iPad and iPod. That range covers the Apple device types named for this adapter, so it can serve the same wired-headphone purpose across compatible devices in those families.
• MFi-licensed: The adapter is listed as MFi-licensed. For an accessory connecting to Apple equipment, that is a useful specification to have when comparing options; it identifies the product as one made under Apple’s MFi licensing programme.
• Apple-certified chipset: Nedis specifies an Apple-certified chipset inside the adapter. The certification is relevant to its role as an Apple audio accessory, and complements the MFi licensing detail rather than changing what connections the adapter provides.
• Short 15 cm lead: The cable measures 15 cm. That gives the connection a little separation from the device port while keeping the adapter itself compact, rather than adding a long cable between the Apple device and the headphones.
