Nedis Telecom Extension Cable | Reach a telecom connection farther

A telephone connection can reach farther across a room with this 10-metre Nedis telecom extension cable. It has an RJ11 male connector at one end and an RJ11 female connector at the other, so the cable extends a connection between matching RJ11 ends. The connectors are gold plated. That’s the practical summary: a long cable with clearly defined ends, for situations where the existing connection point isn’t where you need it. Before routing it, think through the path and where the cable will lie; 10 metres gives you room to plan, but it’s still a cable to route neatly. It suits someone who needs more reach for a telecom connection and wants to keep the connector arrangement straightforward. There’s no mystery about which end is which.

Plan the cable run

Measure the route the cable will actually take, rather than the straight-line distance between the two points. A cable may need to follow a wall or pass around furniture, and those turns use up some of its available length. Leave the route accessible where you can, so the cable isn’t needlessly caught under furniture or pulled tight. When connecting it, match the male RJ11 end with a female RJ11 socket, and the female end with a male RJ11 plug. That simple check can save you from routing the cable first and discovering the ends are the wrong way round for your setup. It’s a straightforward item, but a little planning makes a long extension easier to place.
