Nikon Adapter Ring (62mm) AF-3
Nikon Adapter Ring (62mm) AF-3 | A clear size reference for filter setups
For building a filter accessory setup around a 62mm connection, the Nikon Adapter Ring (62mm) AF-3 gives you a clearly named ring to work with. It’s a small, practical component rather than a filter: its role is to help form the connection within a filter arrangement. The 62mm size and AF-3 designation are the key details to use when matching it to the parts in your setup. This makes it suited to photographers who already know they need a Nikon ring with those specific identifiers, or who are sorting and keeping track of filter accessories. Use the name as a reference when choosing the corresponding parts for your arrangement. It’s best for bringing order and a defined size to a filter setup; it doesn’t, by itself, describe the whole setup or the effect a filter will create in your image.
Specialist Note
The circular ring is the working detail here: it gives a filter accessory setup a defined connection point, rather than adding an image effect of its own. I’d use the 62mm marking as your first matching reference, then keep the AF-3 designation alongside it so the ring doesn’t get confused with another accessory. It suits photographers assembling or organizing a filter arrangement who already need those exact identifiers. A practical use is keeping the right ring with the parts intended for that setup; treat it as a connector, not as a filter that changes exposure or colour. Its value is specific fit information, not a broader promise about what your images will look like.
