Nikon Adapter Ring (72mm) AF-4
Nikon Adapter Ring (72mm) AF-4 | A clearly identified part for filter setups
The 72mm size is the defining detail of this Nikon adapter ring: it gives you a specific size to match when putting together a filter arrangement. The AF-4 designation identifies the ring, too, which is useful when you need to distinguish it from another adapter ring. It’s a straightforward accessory for photographers who already know the size and designation their setup calls for, rather than a filter that changes the look of an image by itself. For landscape work, for example, the ring belongs in the planning stage alongside the filter you intend to use: match the 72mm marking to the corresponding size needed in your arrangement. If you’re replacing a ring or adding one to an existing setup, having both the Nikon name and AF-4 identifier makes the product easier to specify accurately. Its value is practical and focused: the right named ring for a setup that calls for this particular size.
Specialist Note
A quiet morning landscape is a good time to have the filter arrangement sorted before the light changes. I’d use the 72mm marking as the first check when selecting this ring for a setup that calls for that size; it gives you a concrete detail to match, rather than relying on appearance. Then keep the AF-4 designation with your notes or when asking for the same part again—it helps pinpoint this specific Nikon ring. It suits photographers who are assembling or maintaining a filter setup and already know the ring they need. One practical point: the ring is an accessory, not the filter itself, so plan for the filter separately.
