Nikon Adapter Ring (77mm) AF-4
Nikon Adapter Ring (77mm) AF-4 | Match your filter setup
Having the filter you need is frustrating if your setup calls for a different size. The Nikon Adapter Ring (77mm) AF-4 is a filter accessory for bridging that gap, helping you build a setup around the size your filter arrangement requires. It’s for photographers who plan their filters as a system, or who need an adapter ring as part of putting that system together. The useful point here is its clear size designation: you can compare the ring’s stated size with the requirement for your setup before deciding if it’s the right fit. That makes it most relevant when you already know the size you need and want an adapter ring identified for that purpose. Keep the ring’s role simple: it’s a connection piece in a filter arrangement, not a filter that changes the look of the image by itself. If your setup calls for another size, this isn’t the one to choose.
Specialist Note
At the filter drawer, I’d sort this by the 77 mm marking first; that’s the practical sizing cue to compare with the requirement for your filter setup. AF-4 is the model designation, so I’d use the full name when keeping rings organised or looking for this particular version. It suits someone who is building a filter kit around a known size, and it can also help keep an existing kit clearly identified: label the storage spot with the size, then return the ring there after use. My honest advice is not to read AF-4 as a measurement. Start with the 77 mm figure, and choose this ring only when that matches the size your arrangement calls for.
