Novoflex Filteradapter EOS-Retro 52mm
Novoflex Filteradapter EOS-Retro 52mm | Connect a matching lens to EOS-Retro
The Novoflex Filteradapter EOS-Retro 52mm connects a lens with a matching filter thread to the Canon EOS-Retro system. It’s made for photographers putting together an EOS-Retro setup who need the lens-to-adapter connection to match their lens, rather than another filter effect. Use it to attach a compatible lens for a reverse-adapter arrangement, or keep it with that lens so the connection is ready when you assemble the setup again. The adapter’s role is specific: it joins the lens and the EOS-Retro arrangement at the filter-thread connection. That makes it a small but important part to identify correctly when choosing accessories for a particular lens. Its black finish is a straightforward visual match for a camera kit, and the dedicated thread size means it’s intended for lenses with that exact filter-thread measurement. For EOS-Retro users, this is the Novoflex adapter for that lens connection.
On the lens
- 52mm lens thread: The lens-side connection is for a lens with a 52mm filter thread. Matching that measurement is what allows the threaded parts to connect.
- For Canon EOS-Retro: This adapter is specified for use with the Canon EOS-Retro system. Its purpose is to make the lens connection in that setup.
- Adapter, not a filter: It provides a mechanical link between the lens and the EOS-Retro arrangement; it doesn’t add a filtering effect to the image.
- Black finish: The adapter is black, a simple detail when sorting small accessories in a kit or keeping the parts of a setup together.
- Lens-specific connection: Choose it for a lens whose filter thread matches the stated size. The thread is the deciding detail for this accessory.
Specialist Note
52mm refers to the lens’s filter thread, so in practice this is the size to match when you’re pairing a lens with an EOS-Retro setup. I’d recommend it to someone assembling that system around a lens with the specified thread, especially for reverse-adapter work where the lens needs to connect through its filter-thread fitting. The useful point is that this part handles the connection, rather than changing the light or colour reaching the lens. Keep it with the lens you’re setting up, and you’ll have the relevant adapter at hand for that pairing. Its stated fit is specific to Canon EOS-Retro, so it isn’t a general-purpose camera adapter.
