OpenRock Link 20 Black
OpenRock Link 20 Black | UV filtration for bright daylight
In strong daylight, ultraviolet haze can soften the look of a distant scene; the OpenRock Link 20 Black is a UV filter for photographers who want to address that effect. UV filtration has its clearest role with film photography, where ultraviolet light can affect the image. With digital cameras, the visible difference is often less pronounced, so it’s best to buy this for the UV-filtering job rather than expect a dramatic change to every picture. It may suit someone photographing open landscapes or distant subjects in bright conditions, provided the filter matches the lens they intend to use it on. The product name identifies it as the Link 20 Black, but doesn’t give a filter diameter, so there’s no basis here to promise a fit for a particular lens. Think of it as a specific filter type, not an all-purpose image fix.
Specialist Note
The OpenRock Link 20 Black is a UV filter best suited to limiting ultraviolet haze in bright daylight. I’d consider it for film landscapes with far-off hills or buildings, where UV can reduce clarity; it’s the kind of effect that’s most relevant in strong, open light. The “Black” in the name gives you a low-key finish, while “Link 20” is the product identifier to use when distinguishing it from other options. For digital photography, I’d keep expectations measured: UV filtration may make little visible difference to the image. Match the filter to the lens’s thread size before planning to use it.
