Permajet Gloss Instant DRY 271 A2 25SH

Permajet Gloss Instant DRY 271 A2 25SH | A2 glossy paper with an instant-dry finish

The A2 sheet size is the defining choice here: it gives you room to make a large photo print on a single sheet. Permajet pairs that format with a gloss finish and an instant-dry designation, making this paper suited to photographers who want a sizeable print with a reflective surface and a finish intended to dry quickly. It’s a straightforward option for printing photographs at a scale that’s meant to be seen, rather than kept small in a stack. The useful detail is that you get 25 sheets, so there’s scope to make several prints or to refine an image through a few print attempts. Gloss is a particular look, though; if you prefer a less reflective surface, this isn’t the finish to choose.

Choosing the print

A2 calls for a little more planning than a small print. Think about how the image will sit on the sheet, including any border you want around it, before you send it to print. That’s especially helpful when the photograph has a strong edge or carefully placed subject: a quick check of the layout can save a sheet if the crop isn’t what you intended. The glossy surface is part of the visual choice too. It gives the print a bright, polished appearance, so consider the light where you expect to view or display it. The instant-dry wording makes this paper worth considering when you want a surface described as drying quickly; it doesn’t remove the need to handle a fresh print with care. In short, this is a clear, specific combination: A2 size, glossy finish and a 25-sheet quantity. Those are the details to weigh up against the image you have in mind.
