Both anamorphic and spherical groups are fixed within the lens. To achieve the precise focus, a variable spherical front glass is employed. This lens borrows its optical design from giants like Vantage Hawks, Cooke Anamorphic, and Atlas Orion. When decompressed, this lens with a compression ratio of 2X gives you a 2.66:1 on a 4:3 sensor and 2.4:1 on a 6:5 sensor, yielding a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, thereby rendering a sought-after ultra-wide cinematic appeal inherent in the film industry.

The lens maintenance of a constant compression ratio at any focusing distance aids in avoiding anamorphic distortion.
