Radius Red VideoMicro Mini Windcover
Radius Red VideoMicro Mini Windcover | A compact cover for breezier recordings
Without a windcover, moving air can become an unwelcome part of a microphone recording. The Radius Red VideoMicro Mini Windcover is a small accessory for people using a VideoMicro who want a simple way to help manage that problem outdoors. It suits vloggers, interviewers and anyone recording speech on location, especially when a light breeze could distract from the voice. Keep the microphone close to the speaker and use the cover when recording outside; it’s a straightforward addition to a compact audio setup. Its purpose is specific: help shield the microphone from wind, rather than change how it sounds in calm conditions. It won’t remove traffic, handling noise or every gust, so thoughtful mic placement still matters. If your VideoMicro is part of your regular kit, this gives you a focused option for windy moments without adding a larger piece of equipment to the setup.
Specialist Note
For a breezy outdoor interview, I’d fit this to one VideoMicro before positioning it close to the speaker. The Mini name is useful guidance: it’s intended as a small-format cover, so it suits a compact microphone setup rather than a bulky wind rig. I also like that it’s red; that colour makes the cover easier to pick out among small accessories when you’re packing up. It’s a sensible fit for spoken updates or location interviews where wind is the main concern. Just keep expectations in check: a windcover can help with moving air, but it won’t silence handling noise or a loud street.
