Radius Shotgun Mic Foam Windshield ME66 K6
Radius Shotgun Mic Foam Windshield ME66 K6 | A foam cover for the named microphone
What sets this accessory apart is its specific ME66 K6 name: it’s a foam windshield identified for a particular shotgun-microphone setup, rather than a general-purpose audio accessory. It suits someone looking to add a foam cover to the microphone named in the product title. A foam windshield is used to soften the effect of air moving across a microphone, making it relevant for dialogue and spoken-word recording where wind can distract from the voice. Fit the cover over the microphone before recording, and it becomes a simple, direct part of the setup. This is a focused accessory, not a microphone or a complete recording system. If you’re choosing between accessories, the key detail here is the ME66 K6 designation; the product name gives you a clear reference for the microphone this windshield is associated with.
Specialist Note
66 is part of the ME66 name, so in practice it’s a useful reference when you’re matching this foam windshield to the microphone named in the product title; it isn’t a setting or measurement. The other key detail is that this is a foam windshield, intended to sit over the mic and help tame wind reaching it. I’d consider it for spoken dialogue outdoors or recording speech near moving air: fit the cover before you start, then position the microphone for the voice as usual. It’s a very specific accessory, so its appeal is for someone working with the named ME66 K6 setup, rather than someone after a general microphone cover.
