Rollei Dummy-Akku Canon LP-E6 w/ USB-C

Rollei Dummy-Akku Canon LP-E6 w/ USB-C | Power your setup via USB-C

For a camera setup that takes its power through USB-C, this dummy battery offers an alternative to using a regular LP-E6 battery in the camera. The Rollei Dummy-Akku Canon LP-E6 w/ USB-C is made around the Canon LP-E6 battery format and has a USB-C connection. It suits photographers and video makers working with a fixed camera position, such as a desk, studio or filming spot, where arranging power is part of the setup. Its real appeal is practical: you can build a power connection around USB-C rather than relying on a charged LP-E6 battery for that session. That can make more sense when the camera stays in place and you want to plan the power arrangement separately from your shooting. The title identifies the battery format and connector, so those are the details to focus on when considering it. It’s a specific power accessory, rather than a replacement battery to charge and swap during a shoot.

A simple fit for a planned setup

A dummy battery is most useful when you’re setting up around a camera that uses the named LP-E6 format and want USB-C as part of the power arrangement. Think of a camera kept in one spot for a recording, a fixed-angle view or a longer working session. In those situations, planning the power connection before you start can be more convenient than pausing to change batteries. This Rollei model is clearly labelled for LP-E6 and USB-C, which makes those two points easy to identify when comparing accessories. It’s worth keeping the distinction clear: this is a dummy battery, not an LP-E6 battery pack. If your setup already centres on USB-C power, the format and connector give you the key information for deciding whether it belongs in your kit.
