Rycote 10cm SGM Foam (19/22) (10 Pack)
Rycote 10cm SGM Foam (19/22) (10 Pack) | Foam microphone protection in a ten-pack
For close voice recordings, a foam cover can help keep light air movement from distracting from the words, so the result stays focused on the speaker. The Rycote 10cm SGM Foam (19/22) is a black foam microphone accessory, supplied as a pack of ten. Its 10cm length and 19/22 designation make those details useful when selecting a replacement or stocking up for microphones that use this size. It suits sound recordists, video crews and anyone who regularly records spoken audio and wants foam covers ready to hand. Keep a few in a kit for interviews, dialogue or other close-miked recordings; the remaining pieces can stay in reserve for later changes. Foam is a simple option for light air movement, rather than a complete answer to strong wind. With ten in the pack, it’s easier to keep a supply available instead of relying on a single cover.
Specialist Note
Running short on foam covers can leave a recording kit without a straightforward way to manage light air movement around a microphone. This ten-pack gives you several replacements in one go, which suits people recording interviews or dialogue regularly. The 10cm length is a useful detail to match against the cover you need, while the 19/22 designation helps narrow the selection to the relevant size. I’d keep a few with the sound kit and leave the rest as spares, especially if different people share the equipment. Just bear in mind that foam is for modest wind protection; exposed, windy locations call for more substantial protection.
