Rycote InVision INV-7 Pop Filter Kit
Rycote InVision INV-7 Pop Filter Kit | Helps tame plosive bursts in speech
During a voice recording, sharp “p” and “b” sounds can send a burst of air into the microphone and distract from the words. The Rycote InVision INV-7 Pop Filter Kit is a microphone accessory for this kind of spoken or vocal recording. Its role is to help reduce those disruptive plosive sounds, making it useful for narration, interviews and other voice work where clear speech matters. It’s aimed at anyone recording with a microphone who wants to address plosives at the source rather than trying to deal with them later in editing. The product is identified as a pop filter kit, so it’s a focused addition to a recording setup, not a general-purpose microphone accessory. If plosives are the issue in your recordings, this is the specific job it’s intended to help with.
Specialist Note
The black finish keeps the filter visually understated, which is a sensible detail if your microphone setup appears in a video or on a call. I’d consider the INV-7 for spoken narration or interview dialogue where plosive bursts interrupt otherwise clear speech; use a pop filter as part of the voice recording setup and listen for those “p” and “b” sounds becoming less intrusive. The Rycote name and INV-7 model designation also make it easy to identify this particular kit when you’re planning or discussing your microphone accessories. One practical limit: a pop filter addresses plosives, not room echo or background noise, so it won’t solve those recording problems.
