Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV Radiant Soft 1 6.6x6.6
Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV Radiant Soft 1 6.6x6.6 | Square ND exposure control
The defining choice is the 6.6 × 6.6 square format: this ND filter is for photographers and imaging teams working with square-format filtration. An ND filter reduces the light reaching the camera, giving you more control over shutter speed or aperture when the available light would otherwise dictate your exposure. Radiant Soft 1 is a specific option in Schneider-Kreuznach’s MPTV range, combining that product designation with a square filter size for a planned filter setup. It will suit people who shape motion deliberately or want to keep a chosen aperture in bright conditions. For stills or moving images, its role is exposure control as part of a considered workflow. It’s a specialist format, so it makes most sense when a square filter is already part of how you work.
Specialist Note
Photographers shaping motion in bright daylight are the people I’d steer toward this filter. Its ND function can help you use a slower shutter when the light is strong; choose your intended motion effect, then adjust exposure with the filter in place. The 6.6 × 6.6 square format is a practical fit for a workflow built around square filters, so I’d consider it when that format is already part of your setup. It can also help you hold a chosen aperture in bright conditions. One honest point: this is a specialist square-format filter, rather than a general-purpose accessory for every camera bag.
