Silicon Power Studiopro CFexpress 4.0 Type B 1TB 3500MB/s

Silicon Power Studiopro CFexpress 4.0 Type B 1TB 3500MB/s | 1TB capacity for Type B workflows

When a shoot calls for CFexpress 4.0 Type B media, it helps to have the capacity and headline speed figure clear from the start. The Silicon Power Studiopro is a 1TB card in that format, with 3500MB/s in its product name. Those figures make it straightforward to compare with the requirements of a particular workflow. It suits photographers and video makers looking for a high-capacity card in the CFexpress category, provided their setup calls for this type. One honest point: a quoted speed figure is a useful comparison point, but it shouldn't be treated as a promise that every task will run at that rate. For choosing between cards, the capacity and card type are the plain, concrete details to begin with.

Planning your storage

For a specific shoot, capacity is only part of working out how much media you’ll need. The number of photos or minutes of footage that fit depends on file sizes and recording settings, so there isn’t a single useful estimate for every job. Think about the way you shoot: a long continuous session has different storage needs from a series of shorter outings, and keeping separate cards for separate jobs can make your files easier to manage later. It’s also worth treating a speed number as one point of comparison, rather than a complete description of how a card will perform in your own workflow. The practical value of this card is easiest to judge against the format your setup requires and the amount of storage you want available in one card.
