TetherTools TetherPro Firewire 800 9-PIN To 9-PIN

TetherTools TetherPro Firewire 800 9-PIN To 9-PIN | A matching 9-pin connection

Without the right cable, you can’t make a wired link between matching ports. The TetherTools TetherPro Firewire 800 9-PIN To 9-PIN is a cable with a 9-pin connector at each end, for a setup built around that connection. It suits photographers and other users whose equipment has corresponding 9-pin FireWire 800 ports and who need a cable between them. Its clearest advantage is straightforward: both ends have the same connector, so there’s no different plug type to account for at the far end. That makes the product name useful when you’re choosing a replacement or adding a cable to an existing wired setup. This is a focused connection cable, not a general-purpose accessory; the port type is the deciding detail. If FireWire 800 and 9-pin are what you need at both ends, this is the version to consider.

Connection details

Use the name as a practical selection check: the connection calls for FireWire 800 and a 9-pin connector on each side. When planning a cable run, identify the connection needed at both ends rather than choosing by brand name alone. The matching connector description is the useful detail here; it tells you the type of connection the cable is made for, but doesn’t identify the devices in your setup. That distinction matters when you’re sorting through accessories for a wired workflow. Choose this cable when the required format is already established and both ends need the same 9-pin connection. It’s a specific cable for a specific port arrangement, so the connector details should guide your choice.
