Tilta BCS-14500-K2 14500 Battery Charger Set | Extra support for handheld video

Its shoulder-rig format is meant to give a camera extra support during handheld video work, helping make this kind of filming more manageable. There’s a naming mismatch to be clear about: the product title calls it a “14500 Battery Charger Set”, while the supplier classifies the Tilta BCS-14500-K2 as a shoulder rig. I’m describing it according to that supplier information, rather than guessing at charger or battery features. This is for video makers who want support while operating a camera by hand, rather than holding it unsupported. It’s most relevant for handheld filming where added support is the reason to choose a rig. If that’s the job you have in mind, the supplier’s description gives a clear use case; it doesn’t provide enough detail to make claims about adjustments, setup, or included parts. The product name and the supplier’s classification don’t quite agree, so it’s worth resolving that before treating it as a battery charger.

Specialist Note

For handheld video, the point of a shoulder rig is simple: it gives the camera extra support while you work, so you’re not relying on an unsupported hold. I’d look at this Tilta for that specific job, rather than buying it on the assumption that the title tells the whole story. The supplier calls it a shoulder rig, but the product name includes “14500 Battery Charger Set”; that number is part of the name, not a confirmed rig setting. It suits someone who needs support for handheld video, but I’d clarify the naming mismatch with us before choosing it as a charger.
