Tilta ES-T20-A Camera Cage For Sony FX6 Basic Kit w/o Battery Plate | Adds a protective cage without a battery plate

An FX6 build can feel exposed when the camera is handled or moved between setups; a cage gives the camera a protective framework. The Tilta ES-T20-A is a camera cage for the Sony FX6, offered as a Basic Kit without a battery plate. It suits FX6 owners who want to add a cage but don’t need a battery plate in this kit. For a camera that moves from a prepared setup to a case and back, the appeal is simple: the body has a dedicated cage around it rather than being left without that protective layer. This is a focused accessory, not a complete power package, so it makes most sense when you already have a plan for powering the camera. Choose it when the cage is the part of your FX6 setup you need, and a battery plate isn’t.

Specialist Note

For a one-camera FX6 interview setup, I’d first decide whether a battery plate is part of the rig; this Basic Kit leaves that plate out. That makes the ES-T20-A a sensible fit when the cage is the piece you’re adding and your power arrangement is already settled. Its FX6-specific design keeps the choice focused on the camera you own, rather than a general-purpose cage. I’d also consider it for an FX6 that moves between a tripod setup and a packed case, where you want a cage around the body. If you need a battery plate included in the kit, this isn’t the version I’d point you toward.
