Tilta TCB-MHD-MHD-30 HDMI Male To HDMI Male Cable 30cm
Tilta TCB-MHD-MHD-30 HDMI Male To HDMI Male Cable 30cm | A short HDMI link for compact rigs
In a handheld video setup, a long cable can leave extra slack around the camera and rig. The Tilta TCB-MHD-MHD-30 is a short HDMI cable for making a direct connection between HDMI ports in a compact setup. It has an HDMI male connector at each end and measures 30cm, so it suits close-together components rather than a run across a room. That makes it a practical option for video makers building a tidy handheld arrangement, including a shoulder-rig setup where keeping the cable route contained helps avoid loose loops around the camera. It’s a straightforward part of a rig: it carries the HDMI connection, while the rig itself provides the camera support. Consider the distance between the two connection points before choosing it; this length is best when they sit near one another.
Specialist Note
Loose cable getting in the way is a small nuisance that can quickly distract during handheld filming. I’d consider this Tilta when the two HDMI connection points sit close together: at 30cm, it keeps the link short instead of leaving a coil of spare cable around the rig. The male HDMI plug at both ends gives you a direct cable-to-port connection, so it’s suited to a simple link between nearby HDMI connections in a compact video setup. It makes sense for a handheld camera arrangement where you’re keeping the cable route close to the camera. Just allow for the short reach; if your components need to sit farther apart, this isn’t the cable length I’d choose.
