Transcend CF 1000X 64GB
Transcend CF 1000X 64GB | Room for more images on a CF card
Running short of card space mid-session can break your rhythm. The Transcend CF 1000X gives you 64GB of removable storage in CompactFlash format, so you can keep shooting without having to make room by deleting files as you go. It suits photographers whose camera takes CF cards and who want a straightforward card for regular stills work, from a portrait session to a day spent photographing landscapes. The capacity gives you room to keep a session’s files together, though the number of images or minutes of video will depend on your camera and settings. The 1000X designation is part of the product name; it isn’t a reason to assume a particular real-world write speed for every camera or file type. If you already use a CF-compatible camera and need 64GB of card space, this Transcend is a practical, clearly specified option.
Specialist Note
This card has one firm limitation: it’s for a camera with a CompactFlash slot, so the format has to match your camera. Within that boundary, the 64GB capacity is a sensible amount for keeping a portrait session or a day of landscape photographs on one card; I’d start with an empty card and keep the files together until you can back them up. The 1000X marking is useful for identifying this version, but I wouldn’t use the name alone to promise a particular burst rate. I’d point it out to someone who already shoots on CF and wants more space without changing their card format.
