TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2.0 - APS-C - Sony E-Mount - Silver | Go wide for skies and spaces

On a narrow street or beneath a wide night sky, this TTArtisan 7.5mm gives you room to include more of the scene. It’s an ultra-wide prime lens for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras, with a 124° angle of view and manual focus. On a Sony APS-C body, its field of view is similar to that of an 11.25mm lens on full frame, so close foreground details can feel especially prominent. The f/2 maximum aperture is useful for gathering light when photographing stars, while the broad view also suits expansive landscapes and architecture. Manual focus asks you to take charge of focusing rather than leave it to autofocus; for carefully composed scenes, that can be a natural way to work. Choose it when you want a deliberately expansive perspective, especially in places where stepping back isn’t an option.

Specialist Note

The silver finish makes the lens easy to pick out among your kit, which is handy when you’re choosing gear for a particular shoot. For night skies, f/2 gives you a bright starting point; try a shutter speed around 10 seconds and adjust ISO to suit the scene. Its 7.5mm focal length gives a very wide view on a Sony APS-C body, so for architecture I’d keep the camera level and focus manually on a distant detail to help keep the building’s lines looking natural. The trade-off is that nearby objects can look unusually large at the frame edges, so place foreground details with care.
