TTArtisan AF40mm f/2.0 - FullFrame - L Mount - Silver | A natural view for street and travel

TTArtisan AF40mm f/2.0 - FullFrame - L Mount - Silver is a 40mm standard prime for photographers who want a straightforward perspective for street scenes and travel. It’s made for Leica L-mount cameras and covers the full-frame format, with autofocus for everyday shooting. The 57° angle of view sits between a wide environmental view and a tighter portrait look: you can include someone in their surroundings without letting the background take over. On a city walk, that makes it easy to move from a shopfront or passing cyclist to a group at a café table. The silver finish gives this version a distinctive look on your camera. This is a focused option for anyone happy to compose by moving closer or stepping back, rather than reaching for a zoom. Its fixed focal length encourages you to pay attention to where you stand and what you include in the frame.

Specialist Note

At a canal-side café just before dusk, this lens earns its place in the space between a street portrait and the scene around it. I’d open to f/2 for someone near a window or shop lights; it lets more light reach the sensor and helps separate the subject from the background. For a person walking, try around 1/250 s and raise ISO as needed rather than letting movement blur the moment. Autofocus suits the quick change from composing to catching a passing expression. The fixed 40mm view does ask you to step in or back up—there’s no zoom to rescue a framing choice. It’s a good fit if you enjoy working a scene from your own position.
