Urth 49mm Variable ND2 32 + ¼ Black Mist Filter Pro

Urth 49mm Variable ND2 32 + ¼ Black Mist Filter Pro | Control light, soften highlights

Without a filter, bright conditions can force you to change your aperture or shutter speed to keep exposure under control. This Urth combines a variable neutral-density filter with a ¼ Black Mist effect, giving you light reduction and highlight diffusion in one filter. The variable ND2–32 range lets you adjust how much light reaches the lens, which is useful when you want to keep a particular exposure approach in changing light. The Black Mist effect softens the look of bright highlights, adding a gentler rendering to the image. It suits photographers and video makers who want to manage exposure while adding a touch of diffusion, rather than carrying two separate filters for those effects. The 49mm size is the key fit detail to match to your lens. It’s a practical pairing for outdoor video, portraits in bright light, or scenes with strong highlights where you want a softer look.

Using the two effects

Think of the ND effect as your exposure adjustment and the Black Mist effect as a look applied to the image. Set the exposure you want with the variable ND, then decide whether the softened highlight treatment suits the scene. Because both effects are built into one filter, you don’t need to stack separate filters to combine them.
