Urth 58mm Variable ND2 32 + CPL Filter Pro
Urth 58mm Variable ND2 32 + CPL Filter Pro | Control light and reflections
Bright light can leave you choosing between a shutter speed you don’t want and an aperture you’d rather not close down. The Urth 58mm Variable ND2 32 + CPL Filter Pro combines a variable neutral density filter with a circular polariser, giving you two ways to shape the light reaching your camera. Adjust the ND effect across the ND2–32 range to reduce incoming light; the CPL part can help cut reflections from surfaces such as water or glass. It’s a practical option for photographers and video makers who want more control in daylight, especially when working with reflective scenes. Use the ND effect when you need to manage exposure, and the polarising effect when glare is getting in the way. The two functions are in one filter, so there’s just one filter size to account for: 58mm.
Specialist Note
The CPL effect isn’t right for every frame; sometimes a reflection is part of the picture. But if you want one filter that also gives you variable ND control, this Urth has a useful combination. Its ND2–32 range gives you room to reduce incoming light as conditions change, which is handy when you want to keep a chosen shutter speed in bright daylight. The 58mm size is the detail to match to your lens’s filter thread. I’d consider it for outdoor video, or for water and windows where reflected glare distracts from the subject. Keep the polarising effect for scenes where reducing those reflections helps.
