Urth 62mm Essentials Filter Kit Pro (UV CPL ND8 ND1000) | Four filters for changing light and reflections

Urth 62mm Essentials Filter Kit Pro (UV CPL ND8 ND1000) brings four named filter types in a 62mm kit for photographers who want options for handling reflections and bright light. It suits landscape and outdoor photographers working in changing conditions, and anyone keen to explore the effects of polarising and neutral-density filters. Use the CPL to reduce reflections from water or glass; rotating it lets you adjust the effect, which varies with your angle to the light. The ND8 and ND1000 reduce the light reaching the camera by different amounts, giving you more room to use a slower shutter speed in daylight. That can help show movement in flowing water or clouds. The UV filter is another option in the set. The kit’s appeal is its range: you can choose a filter to suit the scene rather than relying on one strength. For the clearest results, treat each filter as a tool for a specific lighting problem, not as something to leave on for every shot.

Specialist Note

At midday, sunlight flickers off canal water and makes the reflections compete with the view. That’s where I’d reach for the CPL: turn it while watching the image, and stop when the glare is reduced to the level you want. The 62mm size makes this kit relevant to lenses with a matching filter thread, so it’s worth thinking about which lens you’ll use it on. For movement, ND8 is the gentler option in bright conditions; ND1000 cuts much more light, giving you more scope to lengthen the exposure and soften moving water. I’d suit this kit to someone who enjoys shaping a landscape in-camera. A CPL’s effect changes with your shooting angle, so it won’t remove every reflection in every position.
