Urth 67mm Variable ND2 32 + ¼ Black Mist Filter Pro
Urth 67mm Variable ND2-32 + ¼ Black Mist Filter Pro | Control light and soften highlights
Combining variable ND2–32 control with a ¼ Black Mist effect is the defining design choice: one filter brings exposure adjustment and softened highlights together. The variable ND range reduces the light reaching your camera, while the mist effect gives bright areas a gentler appearance. That pairing suits photographers and filmmakers who want to manage exposure in changing or bright conditions while choosing a softer look in the same image. It’s especially relevant for outdoor portraits, where you may want to balance the available light and keep bright highlights from feeling quite so crisp, or for moving water, where reducing light can help you use a longer exposure. The 67mm size is also useful when you already know your lens takes 67mm filters. This is a focused creative tool rather than a plain protective filter: its appeal is the combination of exposure control and a particular mist look.
Specialist Note
For photographers making outdoor portraits or filming in bright daylight, this Urth filter brings two deliberate effects into one setup. Its ND2–32 range gives you room to reduce incoming light as conditions change; use that control when you want a longer shutter speed for moving water, or to keep exposure in check while filming outdoors. The ¼ Black Mist strength adds a gentle diffusion character to highlights, which can suit portraits with bright backgrounds or point lights in frame. One thing to keep in mind: the mist look is part of the filter, not a separate effect you can dial away as you adjust the ND. If that’s the look you want, the pairing makes practical sense.
