Urth 82mm Magnetic UV Filter Pro
Urth 82mm Magnetic UV Filter Pro | Magnetic convenience for an 82mm lens
The 82mm diameter is the defining choice here: this filter is made for a lens with an 82mm filter thread, so the fit is specific rather than universal. Urth combines that size with a magnetic design, giving photographers a filter they can attach or remove without treating it like a standard screw-on filter. It’s a UV filter, suited to photographers who want this kind of filter in their kit for everyday shooting, from outdoor scenes to travel and city photographs. The Pro name identifies this as Urth’s Pro version, but the details available don’t support claims about its glass, coatings or optical performance, so I won’t guess at those. The practical appeal is straightforward: a magnetic UV filter sized for an 82mm lens, for photographers who value a simple way to handle a filter at the front of their lens.
Specialist Note
Photographers making landscapes or street scenes outdoors may appreciate having a UV filter ready on an 82mm lens. The size matters: it’s intended for an 82mm filter thread, so match that measurement to the lens you’ll use it on. Its magnetic design is the other detail I’d focus on; it’s made to attach and come away magnetically, which can make switching between a clear lens front and a filter feel less fiddly. I’d consider it for a lens that stays in your outdoor kit, where you want a UV filter close to hand. Just bear in mind that the 82mm fit is specific, not a general fit for every lens.
