Wooden Camera Red Komodo Genlock Cable 12
Wooden Camera Red Komodo Genlock Cable 12 | Keep genlock connections clear
Keep genlock in view as part of your RED KOMODO setup, rather than treating the connection as an ordinary camera cable. The Wooden Camera Red Komodo Genlock Cable 12 is named for the RED KOMODO and for genlock, so its intended role is easy to identify when you’re planning a camera rig or sorting cables between setups. That clarity is useful when a production depends on synchronized camera timing: you can choose a cable specifically labelled for the camera and connection type involved. It’s suited to RED KOMODO owners working with a genlock workflow, including crews coordinating a camera as part of a larger production setup. The product name gives you a focused starting point, not a full wiring plan, so match the cable to the genlock connection your setup requires. If you need a general-purpose camera lead, this isn’t described as one; its stated purpose is genlock for RED KOMODO.
Specialist Note
New genlock users can mistake any cable that fits into a rig for the right sync lead; the useful detail here is that this one is specifically named as a RED KOMODO Genlock Cable. That tells you its intended job before it goes into your cable kit. Genlock is the key word: use it when your RED KOMODO is part of a workflow that needs camera timing coordinated, rather than reaching for a cable meant for another purpose. I’d keep that label visible in a multi-camera kit, so it’s quicker to identify the sync lead when setting up. It’s a specialised cable, so it suits RED KOMODO genlock setups—not general cabling needs.
