XEEN 16mm T2.6 FF Cine MFT | Fit more into the frame

In a small interior, a wide view can show the room and the people in it without forcing the camera too far back. The XEEN 16mm T2.6 FF Cine MFT is an interchangeable ultra-wide prime for filmmakers and video makers working with Micro Four Thirds. Its 16mm focal length gives you a broad perspective, while the maximum T2.6 aperture gives you room to manage exposure when the light is limited. Manual focus suits deliberate work: set your focus point yourself, then keep it consistent as you frame a take. The lens has a 68° angle of view, making it useful for establishing shots, interiors and scenes where the surroundings are part of the story. It’s a focused tool for video and filmmaking, especially when a wider composition matters more than isolating a distant subject.

Specialist Note

Tight spaces can make it difficult to show both the action and the setting; this 16mm view gives you more room to compose from nearby. For a filmed interior, place the camera where you can keep the important details in frame, then use manual focus to set the subject sharply before recording. The T2.6 maximum aperture gives you exposure flexibility when you can’t add much light. On a Micro Four Thirds body, 16mm gives a full-frame-equivalent angle of view of about 32mm, so it’s wide without becoming an extreme perspective. I’d suggest it for room scenes and environmental shots. Just remember: a wide lens still needs careful framing near the edges.
