The XEEN 50mm T1.5 FF Cine MFT is an interchangeable standard prime for Micro Four Thirds cameras, made for video and filmmaking. Its 50mm focal length gives you a composed view of a subject, while the supplier-estimated 24° angle of view keeps the frame selective rather than roomy. The T1.5 maximum aperture gives you more exposure flexibility in subdued interiors and lets you work with a shallower plane of focus when the scene calls for it. Manual focus suits planned shots where you can take time over focus placement. This lens is best for filmmakers who want a dedicated prime for considered compositions, rather than a lens for fast, casual reframing. Its black finish keeps the look understated on set.

Specialist Note

For a seated interview, I’d start at T1.5 if the room is dim and keep the subject’s movement modest. The wide setting gives you more light, though focus placement becomes less forgiving. On a Micro Four Thirds body, this 50mm frames like a 100mm lens, so I’d use it for a close interview composition or a carefully framed detail—not a wide two-person shot in a cramped room. Since focusing is manual, settle the camera position first, then make small adjustments as your subject leans or turns. I’d recommend it to filmmakers who can control the framing and pace of a shot; for quick, unpredictable movement, a wider view is easier to manage.
