3 Legged Thing Axis Double Sling Moondust
3 Legged Thing Axis Double Sling Moondust | Carry two cameras in one setup
The double-sling format sets the 3 Legged Thing Axis apart from a single-camera strap: it’s made for photographers who want to carry two camera bodies together. That can be handy at an event, where you may want one camera ready for a wider view and another for a tighter frame, without stopping to swap lenses. It also suits photographers who regularly work with two bodies and want a strap designed around that way of carrying their kit. Moondust gives this version its own named finish, rather than leaving the model identified by its sling style alone. The practical question is whether you’ll make regular use of a two-camera setup. If you usually carry just one camera, a double sling may be more strap than your day calls for; if you switch between two bodies, its format makes the carrying arrangement the point.
Specialist Note
A common mistake with a double sling is choosing the format before thinking about whether you actually carry two cameras. The Axis is aimed at that two-body routine: keep one camera set up for a wider view and the other for a tighter one, so you can change perspective by reaching for the other body instead of changing lenses. That makes sense for event coverage or a portrait session where the pace matters. I’d consider it most if both cameras are regular parts of your working kit; carrying only one body doesn’t make much use of a double sling. The Moondust version also gives you a distinct finish to choose, and 3 Legged Thing is right there in the model name.
