3 Legged Thing QR Ultra 200mm X 38mm Arca Compatible Long Plate Copper
3 Legged Thing QR Ultra 200mm X 38mm Arca Compatible Long Plate Copper | More room to position your setup
The 200mm length is the defining choice here: it gives you more room to position a camera setup on a tripod than a short plate does. The 3 Legged Thing QR Ultra is a tripod accessory for photographers who need that extra adjustment space, particularly when setting up a longer camera-and-lens combination. Its Arca compatibility makes it suitable for use with an Arca-compatible clamp, while the 38mm width gives the plate its stated footprint. The copper finish adds a distinct look without changing its role: this is a practical mounting plate, not a camera or a tripod head. Use the extra length to shift your setup into a better-balanced position, or to make small adjustments as you refine a tripod composition. It’s a focused option for someone who wants a longer Arca-compatible plate and has a compatible clamp to use it with.
Specialist Note
Photographers who work with longer camera-and-lens setups will appreciate having more plate length to adjust their position on a tripod. At 200mm, this gives you room to shift the setup in the clamp and find a better balance over the head; I’d use that when framing a distant subject or fine-tuning a landscape composition. The 38mm width is worth keeping in mind when choosing where it’ll sit in your setup, and the Arca compatibility means it’s intended for an Arca-compatible clamp. My honest advice: this length is useful when you need that extra positioning range, but it’s more plate than a compact setup may call for. The copper finish is a nice personal touch.
