7Artisans 25mm f/0.95 Sony E-Mount | APS-C | Black | Bright for street and travel

Without a very bright lens, street scenes after dusk can mean raising ISO or using slower shutter speeds. The 7Artisans 25mm f/0.95 is a wide-angle prime for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras, made for photographers who want more control over that trade-off. Its 59° angle of view suits everyday street scenes and travel, giving you room to include some surroundings without making your subject feel lost in the frame. Focus is manual, so it suits a deliberate pace more than fast, unpredictable action. This is a lens to consider if you enjoy setting focus yourself and want the option to work with very little available light. For travel, its 25mm focal length gives you a practical view for people, street details and the places around them.

Specialist Note

“Is f/0.95 useful for evening street photography?” Yes—it gives you the option to open the lens right up when the light drops, rather than immediately relying on a slower shutter speed. On a Sony APS-C body, the 25mm framing is equivalent to about 37.5mm on full frame, a handy view for a person in their surroundings or a travel detail with some context. For a quieter scene, set f/0.95 and take your time placing focus on the subject you want sharp. I’d steer you away from it for fast-moving moments: manual focus asks you to keep up yourself. If you enjoy that hands-on approach, this lens has a clear purpose.
