7Artisans 77mm Ulr Mrcuv Filter
7Artisans 77mm Ulr Mrcuv Filter | Straightforward UV filtering for your lens
A 77mm UV filter gives you a straightforward way to add UV filtering to a lens with a matching filter thread. It’s for photographers who want this specific filter type without adding a creative effect or changing how they work with the lens. The filter’s role is to filter ultraviolet light; it isn’t a substitute for adjusting exposure or colour in camera. Its appeal is its simplicity: choose it for a lens that takes a 77mm filter, fit it at the front, and continue shooting as usual. That makes it a practical option for everyday photography when UV filtering is what you’re after. It’s also a clear, specific purchase rather than a general accessory recommendation: the diameter and filter type both need to suit your intended use. If you’re comparing filters, start with the size your lens accepts and whether UV filtering is the effect you want.
Specialist Note
77mm is the filter diameter, so in practice this belongs on a lens with a 77mm filter thread. I’d use that measurement as the first check when choosing it; matching the diameter is what lets the filter fit the lens. The UV designation tells you what kind of filter you’re buying, so it suits someone who specifically wants UV filtering rather than a different filter effect. Think of it for everyday outdoor pictures or general lens use, fitting it before you start shooting. One honest point: a UV filter isn’t a dramatic image effect, so don’t expect it to change the character of every photograph.
