7Artisans AF10mm f/2.8 - Nikon Z-Mount - Black
7Artisans AF10mm f/2.8 - Nikon Z-Mount - Black | Wide framing for landscapes and buildings
For expansive landscapes and tight architectural viewpoints, a 10mm lens brings a broad sweep of scene into one frame. The 7Artisans AF10mm f/2.8 for Nikon Z is an ultra-wide prime lens for photographers who want to make the setting part of the subject. It’s especially suited to landscapes, architecture and astrophotography, where a wide composition can bring foreground, buildings or sky into the picture together. As a prime, it keeps the framing fixed, so you compose by changing your position rather than zooming. That can be a deliberate way to build a landscape around foreground detail or include more of a façade when there’s limited room to step back. It’s a focused option for Nikon Z users who want an ultra-wide view for these subjects rather than a general-purpose zoom.
Specialist Note
The AF10mm f/2.8 is especially good at fitting a building frontage into the composition when there’s no room to move farther back. Its autofocus is handy when you’re shifting between architectural details and a broader view; for a fixed composition, take a moment to check focus before making the frame. For night-sky work, f/2.8 gives you a wider aperture to work with, so start there and adjust exposure to suit the sky and your camera. This lens suits Nikon Z photographers who mainly shoot architecture, landscapes or stars. Its very broad view can include more than you intended, so check the edges of the frame when composing.
