7Artisans AF35mm f/1.8 - FullFrame - L-Mount - Black
7Artisans AF35mm f/1.8 - FullFrame - L-Mount - Black | A bright prime for street and travel
Street scenes and travel photographs keep a natural, open perspective with the 7Artisans AF35mm f/1.8. This full-frame standard prime is made for Leica L-mount cameras and uses autofocus, so you can work quickly when a moment appears. Its 35mm focal length gives you room to include some of the surroundings without making the subject feel distant, which suits everyday street photographs, city details and travel scenes. The f/1.8 maximum aperture is handy when daylight fades: it lets in more light and can help keep shutter speeds up, while also giving you the option of a softer background. This is a straightforward lens for photographers who prefer moving to frame a picture rather than zooming. It makes most sense if street and travel are regular parts of your photography, and you want a bright, fixed focal length to carry on a Leica L-mount full-frame body.
Specialist Note
f/1.8 gives you extra room to work as the light drops, which is useful when you want to keep a street scene spontaneous instead of reaching for a tripod. I’d use the 35mm view for a travel photograph that includes a person and a little of the place around them; step closer to give the person more presence, or back up to fit more of the scene. It’s a good match for someone who enjoys choosing their framing on foot. One honest trade-off: this is a prime, so you’ll need to move to change the composition rather than zoom in.
