This 135mm prime gives filmmakers a tighter angle for composed shots, with a maximum aperture of T2.1 for working with less light or choosing a shallower depth of field. It’s a manual-focus lens for PL mount, made for video and filmmaking rather than quick autofocus work. The full-frame format suits projects built around full-frame coverage, while the de-clicked design lets you adjust the aperture without stepped clicks—handy when exposure needs to change smoothly during a take. Use it for portraits, carefully framed dialogue, or cutaway details where you want the background to feel less prominent. Its long focal length needs room to frame and focus, so it’s best when you can plan your camera position rather than move around quickly.

Specialist Note

A 135mm lens does need space between camera and subject; that’s the main thing to plan for. In return, you get a distinctly tight view that suits controlled scenes and carefully shaped portraits.
