ACT 1m Mini DisplayPort Extension Cable Mini DisplayPort

ACT 1m Mini DisplayPort Extension Cable Mini DisplayPort | Add extra reach to your setup

Your Mini DisplayPort connection gets an extra metre of reach, so you can position your equipment a little farther apart. The ACT 1m Mini DisplayPort Extension Cable is for a setup where the cable you already have falls short. It’s an extension cable, so its role is to add length to an existing Mini DisplayPort connection, not to change the connection type. That makes it a focused solution when the gap is small and you’d rather keep your current arrangement. The key detail is right in the name: 1 m of extension. If you use a Mini DisplayPort connection and need that extra distance, this cable is made for that particular job. No extra function is implied; it simply gives the cable run more reach.

Planning the cable run

Think about where the existing cable comes up short and how you want it to reach the connection point. An extension can help when a small amount of extra distance makes your setup easier to arrange. Measure the gap you need to cover and consider the route the cable will take, rather than judging only by the straight-line distance between two points. That helps you decide whether 1 m is the amount of extra reach you’re after. This ACT cable is specifically a Mini DisplayPort extension, so it’s relevant when the connection you need to extend is Mini DisplayPort. If that describes your setup, the product name gives you the main details at a glance: the connection type, its purpose as an extension, and its length. It’s a simple answer to a simple problem—an existing cable that needs a little more room.
