ACT 20 Meters 8K DP 2.1 DP40 UHBR10 LSZH Active Optical Cable (AOC)

ACT 20 Meters 8K DP 2.1 DP40 UHBR10 LSZH Active Optical Cable (AOC) | A long DisplayPort run, in one cable

A long cable run can make it difficult to place a display where you want it without stretching a short lead across the room. This ACT active optical cable is 20 meters long, giving you more room to route a DisplayPort connection between equipment placed farther apart. Its title specifies 8K, DisplayPort 2.1, DP40 and UHBR10, along with an LSZH designation. That makes it a product to consider when those particular labels matter for your setup and you need a longer cable. It’s aimed at people planning a display connection over a greater distance, rather than a compact run behind a desk. The honest point: the cable’s stated labels are specific, but they don’t tell you whether every part of your setup will work together.

Think about the route before choosing where the cable will go. Measure along the path you expect to use, rather than taking only the straight-line distance between the two locations. Corners and the way you need to keep the cable out of a walkway can affect how much reach your installation needs. A 20-meter cable gives you a substantial length to plan around; that can be useful when equipment and display placement aren’t close together. It’s also worth deciding where the extra cable, if any, will sit, so it doesn’t end up awkwardly gathered in the space.

The product name identifies this as an active optical cable, rather than simply a cable with a stated length. For a purchase decision, match the DP 2.1, DP40 and UHBR10 wording against the requirements you already have for your intended connection. Don’t treat the 8K label by itself as a promise about the result of a complete setup: the other equipment and the way it’s configured matter too. If you’re choosing between cable lengths, base that decision on the actual route and placement you need. This cable is specifically the long-run option in the title, with its format and named DP details clearly stated.
