ACT 30m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach

ACT 30m HDMI High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable w/ Detach | A long HDMI run in one cable

What sets this cable apart is the combination of a 30-metre length and active optical construction. It’s aimed at setups where an HDMI source and screen need to be placed far apart, rather than side by side. The title also specifies High Speed and 4K, so those details are easy to identify when you’re matching a cable to a system. The detachable design is another part of its description; the title doesn’t say which end or part detaches, so it’s best not to assume more than that. For a room installation, event space or other layout with a long cable route, the extra reach can help avoid placing equipment where it doesn’t suit the setup. One practical point: 30 metres is a substantial run, so measure the route you’ll actually take, including bends and the path around furniture or fittings. A straight-line room measurement can come up short.

Planning a long HDMI run

Before choosing a route, consider where the cable needs to start and finish, and whether it will follow a wall, pass through a desk area or run along the floor. Leave enough slack for the path itself, not just the distance between the two devices. That’s particularly useful with a 30-metre cable: extra length gives you routing options, but a tidy installation still takes a little planning. Active optical describes the cable type, while HDMI identifies the connection format in its name. The product title also calls it High Speed and 4K, which makes those terms straightforward to compare with the requirements of your setup. Keep the route in mind when deciding where to place each device. It’s a simple bit of preparation, but it can save you from finding out that your planned cable path is longer than expected.
