ACT 5m High Speed Ethernet Cable HDMI-A Male - Male (AWG30)

ACT 5m High Speed Ethernet Cable HDMI-A Male - Male (AWG30) | Connect HDMI-A devices across five metres

When two HDMI connections are too far apart for a short lead, shifting your equipment may be the last thing you want to do. This ACT cable gives you a five-metre link between HDMI-A sockets, with a male connector at each end. It suits a setup where the connected equipment needs to sit apart, and where the cable route matters as much as the straight-line distance. The product is described as a High Speed Ethernet Cable; that wording is part of its name, rather than a promise about what a particular pair of devices will support. Its AWG30 designation is also included in the product name. For a straightforward connection between two HDMI-A ports, the key practical point is the length: you have five metres to route between them. Measure the path you’ll actually take before choosing it, especially if the cable needs to go around furniture or along a wall.

It’s a simple cable, so the useful question is whether its connectors and length suit the job you have in mind. Male-to-male plugs are intended to meet HDMI-A sockets at both ends; the cable itself doesn’t change the capabilities of the equipment connected to it. Allow for the route to each socket when measuring, rather than using only the gap between the devices. A cable that reaches on paper may need extra room to follow the path neatly and meet the ports without being pulled tight. This is a practical option to consider when you need a longer HDMI-A connection and already know that both ends of your setup use the matching socket. Keep the product name to hand when comparing cable lengths or connector types, so you can distinguish this five-metre HDMI-A lead from a different cable in your kit.
