ACT USB 2.0 A Male - USB B Male 1.80m

ACT USB 2.0 A Male - USB B Male 1.80m | A straightforward USB connection

It’s frustrating to have the right device and nowhere to plug it in. This cable connects a USB-A socket to a USB-B socket, with a male plug at each end. It’s a straightforward option when those are the connections your setup calls for, without extra adapters between them. The cable is 1.80m long, giving you some room to position the connected items rather than having them right beside each other. Its USB 2.0 designation identifies the connection standard; the title doesn’t specify a transfer speed, so I won’t guess at one. The key is matching the two plug shapes to the sockets you need to connect. If that’s what your equipment requires, this ACT cable keeps the job simple. The honest limitation is that the connector types need to suit both ends of your setup.

Check the connection you need

Before choosing a cable, look at the two sockets you want to join: one needs to accept USB-A, and the other needs to accept USB-B. This cable has a USB-A male plug at one end and a USB-B male plug at the other, so it’s made for that particular pairing. The 1.80m length is useful to keep in mind when planning where the connected equipment will sit. Measure the route between the sockets if the cable needs to pass around a desk or other obstacle; the cable’s stated length gives you a concrete figure to work with. USB 2.0 is part of the product’s name, so it’s easy to identify the standard when comparing cables. A simple match of connector types and length is the practical way to decide if this is the one you need.
