ACT USB 3.2 GEN1 Extension Cable C Male - C Female 2 Meters

ACT USB 3.2 GEN1 Extension Cable C Male - C Female 2 Meters | Adds a two-metre USB-C extension

The defining choice is the two-metre length: this cable is made to extend a USB-C connection when the original lead doesn’t reach where you need it. One end is a USB-C male connector and the other is USB-C female, so it sits between an existing cable and its connection point. The USB 3.2 Gen1 designation is part of the product name; I wouldn’t read more into it than the information provided here. For a camera-shop setup, it’s a straightforward option to consider when you need extra cable reach and those connector ends match your arrangement. The honest point is that an extension cable has to suit the layout at both ends, so the connector direction matters just as much as the length. This is a specific, simple job—not a cable to choose by appearance alone.

Choosing the right reach

I’d start by tracing the route the cable needs to take, rather than measuring only the gap between the two connection points. A cable often has to follow a desk edge, pass around equipment or leave enough slack for the way you use the setup. Those details affect whether a given length feels comfortable in practice. Two metres gives you a concrete figure to compare with your own layout, but the useful question is whether that reach works along the route you actually plan to use.

Then look at the two ends of the connection. This cable has a male connector at one end and a female connector at the other, so it extends a connection in that direction; it isn’t simply two matching plugs. If that’s the arrangement your setup calls for, the product name gives you the key details to make the choice. I’d keep the decision that simple: match the connector roles, consider the cable path, and choose it when an extension is what you need.
