Asus ZenScreen MB17AHG 17.3inch IPS WLED | More room for everyday work

The Asus ZenScreen MB17AHG pairs a 17.3-inch display with an IPS panel and WLED backlighting. That gives you a sizeable viewing area for everyday computer work, with the panel and backlight technologies clearly identified. It suits people who want more room for documents, reference material or a work application, instead of trying to fit everything onto a smaller screen. The extra space can be useful when you need to keep a source document visible beside the window you’re working in. An IPS panel is also a practical fit if you sometimes view the screen from slightly off-centre. WLED refers to the display’s backlight, while IPS describes its panel type. If your priority is a roomier view for ordinary tasks, this Asus keeps the proposition simple: a 17.3-inch LCD/TFT monitor.

Specialist Note

The Asus ZenScreen MB17AHG is best at giving everyday work a larger screen to spread across. At 17.3 inches, it gives you space to keep a document beside the window you’re working in; arrange them side by side when comparing text or following a reference. Its IPS panel is a sensible fit if you sometimes look across the screen from an off-centre seat, rather than sitting directly in front of it. WLED identifies the backlight type, so it tells you how the display is lit. I’d suggest it to someone who wants a broader working view. One practical trade-off is its size: allow room for a 17.3-inch screen on your desk.
